Meet Your Coach

As a licensed clinical social worker who began her social work career over 30 years ago, my professional career has taken many paths which has contributed to my wealth of experience in the behavioral health field.

Realizing there’s a complementary approach to build wellness, health and behavior change, I became a certified mindset and habit coach, utilizing the “Feel Good Effect” framework, to build wellness and health for others, as well as for myself!

I have traded in my therapist hat, and have pivoted to coaching because it felt like a better fit for my season of life, personality, my gifts, and style of connection.  My coaching approach is direct, collaborative, and genuine, with relational engagement that acknowledges the complexities of being human, while empowering new ways of thinking to optimize well-being and elevates your best authentic self.

I believe there is no health without mental health.  Study after study has demonstrated that our physical health is connected to our mental health.  This is where our mindset and daily habits come in to play, the way you think – your ingrained thought patterns – make a huge difference in how you live, affecting everything from your ability to change behavior, respond to situations, and make decisions, all of which impacts how you feel.

This quote by Richard Bach, “We teach best what we most need to learn”, sums up where I’m at. You see, I have learned a lot about behavior change, and that there’s more to it than just willpower, motivation, and goal setting.  Mindset is the key. I’m working on (like many of you) practicing mindset skills with daily habit development that supports wellness and health, and in general, working to be healthier and happier with sustainable lifestyle changes.

More about me?  I’m a mother of 3, nana to 3, and the wife of a patient man. I enjoy exercise, the outdoors, cooking, baking, entertaining, having a great cup of coffee and a nice chat, and time with family and friends!

“Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.”
